CBAM importer goods

Report quarterly

EU importers of CBAM goods must continue submitting the quarterly emissions reports until the end of the transitional period in December 2025. As of 1st of January 2025, the embedded emissions of the goods needs to be calculated according to the EU rules, for which dependency on default values is not possible anymore. Do you need help understanding the validity of the information received by the producers? Does your producer need help calculating the embedded emissions? Contact our CBAM experts for support!

CBAM

From 2026, importers will be mandated to pay for embedded emissions in their goods and offset the CO2 generated during their production, through CBAM-certificates. Their aim is to include all EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) sectors under CBAM regulations by 2030 and have the CBAM fully in place in 2034.
