Project Management Executive - Sustainability

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Peterson Solutions at Colombo, Sri Lanka for PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE – SUSTAINABILITY.

As a Project Management Executive – Sustainability at Peterson, you will play a key role in leading sustainability projects, conducting assessments, and developing strategies to support our clients in achieving their sustainability goals. You’ll also contribute to training programs, collaborate with our commercial teams, and bring innovative ideas to enhance our services.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Technical Leadership – Conduct in-depth environmental and social impact assessments, including Carbon Footprint Analysis, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Sustainability Audits, Water Footprint Assessments, and Carbon Project Development.
• Training & Capacity Building – Develop and deliver training programs on sustainability topics.
• Project Management – Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Commercial Engagement – Work closely with our business teams to identify opportunities, communicate the value of sustainability, and drive business growth.
• Innovation & Strategy – Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute innovative solutions to enhance our sustainability offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Environmental Management, Eco-Business Management, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or professionals with 1-2 years of experience in system certification (ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001), GHG validation & verification, GHG accounting & reporting, or sustainability reporting.
• Strong technical expertise in sustainability, with hands-on experience in assessments, regulatory compliance, and sustainable supply chain management.
• Ability to bridge technical knowledge with commercial strategy, contributing to business growth through sustainability solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala, along with strong project management abilities.
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.
